Cop28 Tree of Life

At COP28 in Dubai, I was tasked with creating an activation that seeks to inspire attendees to raise awareness and translate that awareness into actionable commitments for a sustainable future. For the Tree of Life, my role was ideation and to guide the digital teams.

Insight - People use social media to spread awareness on important matters such as climate change, but rarely do they change their habits to reflect their online persona.

Idea - Hold people accountable, with a personalised image to share to their social media, outlining strictly how they are going to do their part.

Execution - A Ghaf tree, the national tree of the United Arab Emirates, was used as a voice for nature through AI technologies, engaging participants and fostering education and community. Conversations with "Mother Nature" led to personal pledges, which transformed into unique AI artworks. The Tree of Life exemplified this vision, using technology to inspire dialogue and commitment; fostering environmental stewardship, to create a movement toward sustainability and the strengthening of community bonds.
